Job Title: Workplace Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health Specialist to join our team. As a WHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in championing the safety and wellbeing of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement WHS frameworks, tools, and measures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct assessments and identify opportunities to improve health and wellbeing within New Horizons.
  • Drive a preventative wellbeing culture through incident analysis, data insights, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Promote safe work practices and risk prevention through targeted interventions and training sessions.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex WHS matters, including high-risk workers' compensation claims.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
  • Industry experience in health, disability, aged care, or education is preferred.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop programs, promote, and implement systems for delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced conceptual and problem-solving skills with proven ability to use initiative effectively.
