Mowing and Brushcutting Team Lead Position

We are seeking an experienced Mowing and Brushcutting Team Leader to maintain and enhance green spaces in Queensland. As a key member of our groundskeeping team, you will lead maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, and provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work. You will be responsible for operating various mowing equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, and ensuring lawns and green spaces are mowed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
  • Ensure lawns and green spaces are mowed to a high standard.
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in roadside brushcutting & mowing.
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
  • White Card.
  • ACDC licence highly regarded.
  • MR/HR licence highly regarded.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
