A packaging quality specialist is required to join our team at Milton on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will report into the Packaging Quality Leader and be part of a small but critical team governing quality standards and processes across the packaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Quality Culture: Drive a quality culture through coaching and building capability in production team members to support site performance achievement.
- Critical Quality Processes: Support and manage equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and chemical stock management to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Quality Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed quality reports, trends, and risk analyses to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Packaging Operations: Support analytical testing, validation activities, and documentation review to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Contractor Compliance: Coordinate contractor compliance and contribute to supplier performance reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- New Product Development: Assist production teams by being a key part of new product development, changes to packaging and brewing specifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Experience: Quality experience in the food or beverage industry, with a strong understanding of food industry standards and GMP/HACCP.
- Education: A degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and coach others, great problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, a proactive, improvement-focused mindset, and flexibility and adaptability.
