Senior Planner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skill set and excellent client management skills. They will be responsible for planning and scheduling projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.

The role requires knowledge of integrated planning and cost environments, with experience in developing project schedules and tracking progress. The successful candidate will also have expertise in resource allocation, subcontractor management, and schedule reporting.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Senior Planner will work closely with the project team to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project schedules and track progress against established baselines.
  • Assess subcontractor compliance with established scheduling methodologies.
  • Support the development of work breakdown structures to support project delivery.
  • Analyze schedule data to identify trends, issues, and areas requiring attention.
  • Contribute to schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and contingency management.
Requirements:
  • Must be based in Western Australia with full working rights.
  • A recognized degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant industry experience ideally in the Natural Resources sector (Mining, Oil & Gas, Green Energy, etc).
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of capital projects.
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, basic understanding of Primavera Project Planner or above, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report writing skills.
  • Collaborative and ability to work as part of a national team.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment.
