About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Full Stack Web Developer to lead in all aspects of web application development, from user interface design and client-side scripting to server-side scripting, database management, and server configuration.

The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, test, and maintain the functionality and appearance of our website.

This is a remote role, and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal instruction and able to figure out a next step without guidance.

The successful candidate will be naturally curious and enjoy finding solutions to problems, with excellent time management skills and a methodical approach to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create and implement visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces, develop front-end website architecture and design, and design user interactions and interfaces on web pages.
  • Back-end Development: Develop back-end website applications and services, create and manage databases and servers, and ensure cross-platform optimisation and compatibility for mobile devices.
  • Security and Performance: Ensure security and performance of web applications, implement security best practices to protect websites and data from vulnerabilities and cyber threats, and ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and privacy regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance testing and debugging to identify and fix issues, and write technical documentation and user manuals.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' proven work experience as a Full Stack Web Developer.
  • Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages like Python, Ruby, React, Java, PHP,.Net.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of web servers and hosting platforms, such as Apache, Nginx, AWS, Heroku, etc.
  • Knowledge of web development tools and software, such as Git, Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, etc.
  • Knowledge of web design principles and best practices, such as UI/UX design, responsive design, accessibility, etc.
  • Ability to work with different web development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Knowledge in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360/Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Able to work during Australian business hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and logically.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
