About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our team at the Mersey Community Hospital in North West Tasmania. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing and maintaining optimal specialist inpatient physiotherapy services, supporting seamless transfer of care, and facilitating patient flow and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy care collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Facilitate patient flow and discharge planning, and advocate for high-quality physiotherapy care to the wider health profession.
  • Provide teaching and supervision to junior physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants (AHA), students, and contribute to our learning culture.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
Desirable Criteria
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or working towards this in the identified clinical area.
