Job Title: Senior Lighting Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Senior Lighting Supervisor is a key member of the Visual Effects team at Technicolor Home Entertainment Services. This role is responsible for overseeing the lighting department and ensuring that all lighting work meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Lighting Department: Supervise and manage a team of lighting artists and leads to ensure that all lighting work is completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Set Show Standards: Work closely with the VFX Supervisor to set the show standards for lighting and ensure that all lighting work meets these standards.
  • Identify Technical Options: Assess technical options and evaluate production schedules to ensure that the lighting department is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver High-Quality Shots: Deliver a high volume of shots to a strict deadline, ensuring that all lighting work is of the highest quality.
  • Problem-Solving: Foresee and pre-empt any problems that may arise during the production process and take steps to resolve them.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the VFX Supervisor, HOD, and other team members to ensure that all lighting work is aligned with the overall vision of the project.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train lighting artists and leads to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 7 years of production lighting experience and at least 2 years of lead experience.
  • Technical Skills: Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies related to CG rendering and compositing, including shading, lighting, and rendering terminology.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Cultural Competence: Inclusive and culturally aware, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
