Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a seasoned Senior Land Surveyor to join the South Coast Region team and contribute to the development of innovative road infrastructure projects. This permanent position will be based at the Nerang office and will involve managing and auditing surveying contractor services to meet all objectives throughout the engineering project cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and audit complex survey jobs, providing authoritative advice on engineering survey, photogrammetry, and other geospatial information acquisition issues.
  • Prepare project specifications, plans, and drawings, as well as manage and prepare open market bids and internal offers.
  • Contract management experience, including the ability to manage contractor work standards and practices to ensure contract performance.
  • Independently perform specialized survey field work outside of normal business hours.
  • Successfully manage stakeholders and their expectations and issues.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • A minimum of a three or four-year surveying degree based on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 or higher.
Additional Requirements
  • Registration as a 'Surveyor' with the Surveyors Board of Queensland, or the ability to submit an application within 12 months of appointment.
  • A Queensland 'C' class driver's licence (manual preferred).
