About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Planning Officer to join our team at GHD, working with Main Roads WA on a fixed-term contract. This role offers a variety of work and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the future of transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process applications for third parties seeking approval to undertake work within the road reserve
  • Maintain the 'Third Party Work within the Road Reserve' Register
  • Coordinate response to planning referrals and preliminary enquiries relating to sub-division, development applications, and town planning schemes
  • Monitor and assist customers in compliance with conditions set for development and access applications
  • Assist with other enquiries relating to Main Roads reserves and Network Access

Requirements

  • Experience in planning processes, project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
  • Research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Written communication and report writing
  • Knowledge of land acquisition and development processes: project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
  • Use of computer-based mapping systems
