Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated VCE Philosophy educator to join our school community, starting immediately. This full-time position requires an experienced teacher with proven VCE teaching expertise and a passion for guiding students through philosophical inquiry, ethical reasoning, and critical thinking.

The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the VCE Philosophy Study Design for Units 1-4, focusing on epistemology, ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of mind.

Key responsibilities include developing students' skills in argument analysis, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning, providing detailed feedback, utilizing diverse teaching strategies, fostering respectful dialogue, and collaborating with colleagues in the Humanities team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration is essential
  • Proven experience teaching VCE Philosophy in Australia or NZ
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
