Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Centurion in Rockhampton, Queensland.

About the Role

  • Conduct mechanical assessments and diagnose faults in machinery to ensure efficient repair, maintenance, and servicing of our fleet.
  • Service and maintain all types of fleet vehicles and trailers, adhering to our workshop procedures and quality standards.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for mechanical and electrical issues, performing replacements and repairs as required.
  • Conduct body building tasks, including welding and grinding, to repair and maintain trailers and other equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure our fleet remains operational.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic working with fleet vehicles and trailers.
  • Australian recognized Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification.
  • Unlimited Australian work rights (no restrictions).
  • Passionate about mechanical work, with the ability to think critically and creatively to diagnose complex problems.
  • A meticulous approach to ensure every aspect of equipment is thoroughly assessed.
  • A strong commitment to safety practices and a good physical fitness level for heavy lifting and working in various positions.
  • Dedicated and reliable, with a team player attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
