Key Responsibilities- Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections of engines and vehicle parts to identify mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on engines, including overhauling, tuning, and replacing faulty components. Maintain manual and automatic transmissions, including fluid changes, clutch replacements, and troubleshooting transmission issues.
- Component Evaluation and Replacement: Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to examine and evaluate parts for wear or damage. Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components.
- Performance Enhancement and Compliance: Perform routine maintenance services to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with pollution regulations by performing emissions tests and tuning engines as necessary.
- Customer Service and Communication: Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls, providing on-site assistance and repairs as needed. Keep thorough records of services performed, parts used, and maintenance recommendations, while effectively communicating with customers about vehicle issues and repair options.
- Qualifications: Certificate 3, Certificate 4 or Diploma in automotive repair or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience of 2 years as a Motor Mechanic or similar role.
- Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
