Key Role Overview

This leadership position plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of essential frontline transport services and contracts, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, operators, and the local community.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team responsible for resources, finances, and staff performance.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery and regulation of passenger transport services, including the School Transport Assistance Scheme.
  • Administer passenger transport service contracts.
  • Act as a regulator to ensure adherence to legislation and standards through education and enforcement.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, operators, and agencies to explore and promote local transport solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on legislation, policy, and operational delivery, and manage complex complaints or compliance issues.
  • Contribute to business plans and assist with compliance planning activities.
Essential Requirements
  • Current C class driver licence.
  • Willingness to travel within Queensland and work outside normal hours during emergencies.
  • Criminal history check prior to appointment.
