About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our team at Grace Care Centre, a 51-bed care home located in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and delivering an engaging programme of activities and events that promote the independence and well-being of our residents.
You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our care team to understand their needs and preferences, and develop activities that cater to their interests and abilities. This may include organizing events, activities, and outings, as well as providing one-to-one support and encouragement to residents.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and their families, and contribute to the creation of a vibrant and supportive community within our care home.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with older adults, and has experience in creating and delivering activities and events that promote engagement and participation. You will be confident in your ability to work with people of all ages and abilities, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively. A background in care or a related field would be an advantage, but is not essential.
