About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Room Officer to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic on our roads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage traffic flow on our roads using advanced control systems
  • Collaborate with field staff and emergency services to respond to incidents and maintain road safety
  • Develop and implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions and optimize traffic flow
  • Provide real-time information to stakeholders, media, and customers on road conditions and traffic updates
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest traffic management policies, practices, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in a monitoring centre or operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in using advanced software and systems
