The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking an experienced Radio Program Producer/Presenter to join our team in Northern Tasmania. As a key member of our local radio team, you will be responsible for producing and presenting live local radio programs and multi-platform digital content that aligns with the ABC's Audience First strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and produce original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for audiences on radio and audio-on-demand platforms.
- Present live local programs and emergency broadcasts, providing in-studio radio production support and managing talk-back callers and guests.
- Contribute to the implementation of emergency coverage plans and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Create local content that can be shared with other teams across the ABC, cross-promoting other ABC content to increase audience engagement.
- Generate stories that are relevant to a broad section of Australians and reflect the cultural, geographic, and socio-economic diversity of the country.
- Proficient program making skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for audiences on radio and audio-on-demand platforms.
- Accomplished live presentation skills.
- Editorial skills, including the ability to source and analyze information and exercise sound judgment.
- A demonstrated and ongoing interest and passion in finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity.
