Panel Beater

About the Role:

The role of a panel beater involves inspecting and repairing damaged vehicle panels to ensure they meet high-quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspect received parts for accuracy and damage
  • Disassemble vehicles according to job requirements
  • Label and store parts properly
  • Document broken parts and additional repairs, then submit to the estimator as needed
  • Verify new parts for accuracy and report any defects to the parts manager or production manager
  • Colour-match and paint vehicles after preparation and scheduling
  • Build and maintain a colour library
  • Prepare, prime, and paint vehicles according to job requirements and paint supplier guidelines
  • Buff and denib vehicles
  • Repair vehicles according to the repair method, OEM standards, and job requirements
  • Reassemble vehicles
  • Treat all vehicles with care and attention
  • Clean work areas and tools
  • Coach apprentices when required
  • Maintain company tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring they remain safe and functional
  • Adhere to our OH&S policy, including proper PPE use

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a trade qualification in panel beating
  • Have prior experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Display high attention to detail
  • Be able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Meet strict deadlines
  • Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Own necessary tools for the role

Minimum Requirements:
