Job Description: Financial Accounting Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our team on a maximum term contract lasting up to 12 months. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational aspects of our Financial Accounting function, providing guidance and direction to your team (three direct reports), and ensuring the integrity of our general ledger and financial information is maintained.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and accounting standards.
  • Lead and manage the financial accounting team, providing training, development, and succession planning opportunities.
  • Oversee daily accounting activities to maintain our general ledger and ensure strong collaboration with other financial controlling functions.
  • Drive our monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while continuously improving accounting practices and internal controls.
  • Supervise the consolidation and financial statement preparation process, managing external auditor liaison.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and provide expert guidance on technical matters, including new accounting standards and transactional accounting.
Requirements:
  • A degree and certifications such as CA/CPA.
  • At least eight years' experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience with Service Trust arrangements is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a thorough and methodical approach to work.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating a team.
  • Experience initiating activities that contribute to meeting our organization's strategic objectives.

What We Offer:
