About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Plaster Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying render layers to achieve consistent thickness and uniform finish
  • Developing decorative textures in finishing coats, including sponging, stippling, and trowelled effects
  • Repairing damaged plasterwork and restoring weathered or cracked external walls
  • Straightening and plumb wall and surface corners to precise specifications
  • Cutting and fitting mesh or laths to strengthen render when required
  • Maintaining tools and work areas in clean and safe condition
  • FOLLOWING health and safety procedures on-site

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification
  • At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualification
  • ANZSCO Skill Level 3
  • Proven experience as a Plaster Finisher or Solid Plasterer, ideally with external façade work
  • Strong hand skills and attention to detail in surface preparation and finish
  • Ability to read and interpret basic plans and instructions
  • Familiarity with both traditional and acrylic render systems
  • Understanding of safety requirements and site protocols
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
