About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epidemiologist Supervisor to lead our Research & Analysis Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Epidemiology Team, managing epidemiological programs and projects, and providing data expertise to support maternal and child health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of epidemiologists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality research and analysis.
  • Epidemiological Program Management: Oversee the development and implementation of epidemiological programs and projects, ensuring alignment with state and federal guidelines.
  • Data Expertise: Provide data analysis and interpretation to support public health initiatives, including maternal and child health programs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with public health agencies, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8 years of experience managing epidemiological programs and projects, including experience conducting epidemiologic investigations, research, and analysis.
  • Education: Master's degree or higher in epidemiology or a closely allied field, including 12 graduate quarter hours or equivalent in epidemiology and 12 graduate quarter hours or equivalent in biostatistics.
  • Skills and Competencies: Modern epidemiologic, surveillance, and evaluation principles and practices; management principles and techniques; and competencies in communication, cultural competency, customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, and quality improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory Experience: 3 years of supervisory experience, including directing a group of managers to lead a team of professionals.
  • Chronic Disease and Injury Surveillance Experience: 2 years of experience in chronic disease and/or injury surveillance and evaluation.
