Desktop Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Assessor to join our team at Suncorp. As a Desktop Assessor, you will play a critical role in accurately assessing property damage and determining claim quantum and scope under the relevant Policy Documentation Statement (PDS).

• Assessment and Claims Management
  • Assess property damage via multiple assessing platforms, including desktop assessing, virtual assessing, and onsite/on-road assessments.
  • Determine claim quantum and scope under the relevant PDS.
  • Deliver professional and brilliant service when completing virtual and desktop assessments, interacting with customers, and creating, accepting, and rejecting the scope of work for claims.
• Customer Service and Communication
  • Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes, and claim progress to stakeholders, customers, claim managers, repairers, and suppliers.
  • Support the client manager to identify customer resolution strategies to minimize customer escalations.
  • Proactively promote and communicate the benefits of our digital experience capabilities and elevate customer interactions through the efficient and effective use of technology.
• Process Improvement and Compliance
  • Identify insights and performance feedback on repairers via dedicated feedback mechanisms and report these to your leader.
  • Identify any process or customer experience improvements and share these with your leader.
  • Stay abreast of new repair techniques and stay current with industry standards and share with peers.

• Qualifications in building or allied trades and experience in compiling or interpreting scope of works (desired).
• Competent computer literacy and navigation skills (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance and claims process knowledge (desired).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a proven performer in customer service roles (mandatory).
