Join our culinary team as a Sous Chef and take the first step towards an exciting career in hospitality. Our kitchen is looking for a driven and highly motivated individual with at least 3-5 years of experience to join our close-knit team.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality meals, maintain smooth kitchen operations, and support the overall success of the venue.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen management
  • Take charge of kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent
  • Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
  • Manage stock levels and conduct stocktakes
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Be available and flexible to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to step confidently into a leadership role when required
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • A genuine team player with a passion for food and hospitality
