Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

The primary objective of this role is to develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that drives business growth and sustainability.

This involves overseeing finance and commercial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and treasury operations.

You will be responsible for providing strategic recommendations on enhancing business effectiveness, identifying new revenue opportunities, and reviewing systems and processes to ensure intelligent, timely, accurate financial data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth
  • Manage accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management functions
  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management and investment
  • Provide strategic recommendations on business effectiveness and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Review and improve systems and processes to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Proven experience in financial leadership in private SMEs
  • Membership of Certified Practicing Accountants or Chartered Accountants Societies
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building and modernizing finance functions
  • Proficiency in the use of financial technology
  • Previous experience with business units outside Australia
