About Us

Nb Deco Pty Ltd is a reputable company seeking a skilled Painting Professional to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

This role offers a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.

Job Description

As a Painting Professional, you will be responsible for mixing paints, matching colours, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces. You may also perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site preparation
  • Purchasing painting materials
  • Conventional and airless spray painting
  • Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
  • Brush and roller stripe coating
  • Using wet film and dry film thickness gauges
  • Applying finish coats by brush and roller to a very high standard
  • Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project

You will also be responsible for handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner, quoting and negotiating job prices, cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when the project is complete, and communicating with clients to ensure they're getting the look they're hoping for.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Work Health & Safety
  • Good verbal communication and organization skills
  • A Certificate III in Painting
  • An EWP operator licence
  • The ability to read and interpret General Arrangement drawings and specifications for painting (desirable)
  • The ability to set up and complete blast and paint jobs with minimal supervision (desirable)
