We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatry Specialist to join our team at a major clinical teaching and research centre. The hospital provides services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. The Emergency Department provides care for 70,000 patients annually. Approximately 25% of the case load is paediatric. This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and to contribute to the development of the hospital's psychiatric services.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. They will be able to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate complex information to patients and their families. The candidate will also have a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

  • Hold or be eligible for appropriate registration with AHPRA
  • Hold or be eligible for admission to Specialist Fellowship with RANZCP.
  • Onshore in Australia or IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
  • Possess at least 12 months recent experience at a Consultant Level
  • On RANZCP training program
  • IMG's with RANZCP interview date
  • IMG's assessed by RANZCP and found to be partially or substantially comparable.
