Plant Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Wagga Wagga.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on backhoe operation.
  • Perform general labouring duties including traffic management, pipe laying, soil and sediment control, concreting and paving, tar patching, hot mix and sealing works, construction and maintenance of kerb and guttering, culverts, headwalls and pits, stormwater system maintenance, bridge maintenance, erection and maintenance of guide posts, sign posts and guard rails, fencing, roadside maintenance works, rehabilitation works, and site safety.
  • Utilise and maintain small items of plant, equipment, tools (hand and power) and personal protective equipment and clothing (PPE/C) in accordance with Council standards.
  • Complete documentation relevant to the role e.g. standard forms, site safety documentation etc.

Requirements:

  • National Certificate of Competency Class LB (Backhoe Operations).
  • Class MR Driver's Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Card – Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and enjoy working outdoors.
