Job Title: Mechanical Systems Specialist

An opportunity exists for a highly skilled professional to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, with a focus on system planning, fabrication, and testing.

This role involves working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Support
    • Assist in preparing technical drawings, plans, and 3D models for mechanical systems.
    • Support the design and development of mechanical equipment, plant layouts, and hydraulic power systems using CAD software.
  • Fabrication & Installation
    • Assemble, install, and modify mechanical components, machine tools, and control systems.
    • Select and procure appropriate tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Conduct field and laboratory tests to evaluate system performance.
    • Supervise inspections and maintenance of machinery and plant equipment.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in a mechanical engineering technician role, preferably in steel fabrication, industrial plant, or heavy machinery sectors.
  • Technical skills in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Analytical skills to interpret technical drawings and perform calculations.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers.
