Job Overview

JPS Medical Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Geriatrician Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis in Canberra. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a 600-bed teaching hospital and major trauma centre, providing acute and sub-acute services to the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality geriatric care to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies, ensuring evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
  • Possess at least 12 months recent Geriatric Medicine experience.
  • Be on RACP training program.
  • Hold or be eligible for the FRACP.
  • IMGs eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ.
  • IMGs with RACP interview date.
  • IMGs assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary package, commensurate with their skills and experience. The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
