We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our team at Ellenvale.

Job Description

Mission: Provide high-quality therapy services to our residents under the supervision of our physiotherapist and occupational therapist.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement mobility and exercise programs for our residents.
  • Create and lead recreational and therapeutic activity programs for our residents.
  • Participate in planning and organizing therapy programs with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Deliver a range of therapy-based activities as directed by the therapy team.
  • Document resident progress accurately and in line with relevant guidelines.
  • Accompany resident groups on outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent qualification.
  • A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in a similar role, such as Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy with the elderly.
  • Australian working rights and a willingness to obtain a national police clearance.
