We're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. This role will provide best practice, evidence-based occupational therapy services across the scope of practice to children and young people with a disability.
About the Role
This permanent part-time or full-time position is based in the West (Sunshine, Newport) region. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you'll work in an interdisciplinary team model, delivering therapy in various settings such as homes, educational environments, and the community.
You'll have the opportunity to support clients in achieving their goals, promoting physical health and wellbeing, and maximising functional skills and participation.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy services to children and young people with a disability in their homes, educational settings, or in the community.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.
- Provide indirect client service coordination to support client goals.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with children and young people with a disability.
- An ability to work in partnership with clients and their families to set and achieve goals.
- Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
- A willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including self-reflection and developing clinical skills.
- AHPRA Registration and Australian driver's licence.
