**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Planning Specialist to join our team at LO-GO Appointments. This 12-month assignment will require you to manage planning, development, and compliance matters while supporting infrastructure design tasks as needed.

This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer looking to contribute to shaping the region's future through strategic planning and technical expertise.

  • Assess Development Applications and Material Change of Use applications to ensure compliance with planning regulations.
  • Draft practical and enforceable conditions for approvals, utilizing your knowledge of engineering standards and legislation.
  • Provide technical advice on engineering compliance and development-related matters, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Review and process subdivision and infrastructure approvals, coordinating with stakeholders to facilitate smooth approvals.
  • Assist with infrastructure design tasks, depending on workload and capacity, leveraging your technical skills and experience.
  • Liaise with developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in development assessment, compliance, and engineering approvals, with a strong understanding of planning schemes and engineering standards.
  • Able to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Practical experience in drafting conditions for approvals, demonstrating your technical expertise.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with key stakeholders, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • RPEQ is not required, but relevant experience is essential for success in this role.
