About the M6 Stage 1 Project

The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has secured a major contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project in Sydney.

This project will provide a vital missing link between Sydney's south and the wider motorway network, making journeys easier, faster, and safer.

It will also reduce traffic congestion by removing over 2,000 trucks from surface roads daily and help return local streets to local communities.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Electrical Engineer to join our Mechanical & Electrical team.

This role involves assisting in the development, implementation, and auditing of the quality management system for the scope of works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and monitor compliance with the Project Management System and data management systems.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in implementing the Project Quality Management Plan and developing other project management plans.
  • Monitor Nonconformance reporting trends and participate in investigations of significant NCR.
  • Identify, assess, and control risks to project quality and product.
  • Ensure appropriate quality requirements are included in project delivery documentation.
  • Review and close out work lot documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Perform regular process control audits to ensure compliance and suggest improvements.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in developing and implementing project audit schedules and auditing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance and support on quality-related matters to site and project engineers.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Engineering or Science or a Trade Qualification related to construction.
  • A minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including experience as an auditor of construction quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management systems, planning techniques, and tools.
  • Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
