Actuarial Professional

This is a high-level role within the State Actuary's Office, requiring expertise in actuarial services and support across various schemes and insurance funds.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality actuarial analysis to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring accurate results and effective communication.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with government departments, other agencies, insurers, and external providers.
  • Lead a small team of professionals, providing guidance and coaching to achieve strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Fellowship of a reputable actuarial body, such as the Actuaries Institute of Australia.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in long-tail general insurance roles, preferably with prior government involvement.
  • Detailed understanding of actuarial modeling tools and analytical techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
