Our company is seeking a skilled Deckhand to join our team.

Job Description

We are currently inviting expressions of interest from motivated Deckhands to join our crew. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to regular availability and respond at short notice when required.

  • This role involves handling a variety of essential tasks, including towage and mooring operations, equipment maintenance, and environmental compliance.
  • The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on deck and help keep the vessel running smoothly.

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the safe operation of the vessel and contributing to the success of our crew.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum General Purpose Hand Near Coastal Certificate of Competency or equivalent
  • A valid AMSA Medical that matches your Certificate of Competency
  • Current Provide First Aid and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates
  • A genuine interest in deck operations and getting involved in all aspects of towage work
  • Experience handling ropes, lines, or operating winches is highly regarded
  • A strong focus on safe work practices, procedures, and doing things the right way
  • The ability to stay calm, think clearly, and adapt when conditions change
  • The ability to work well with others, take direction, and contribute to a positive onboard culture
