About the Role

Our client, a 30-year-old family-owned business in Australia, designs, manufactures, sells, and hires specialist trucks to private and public sectors. Their innovative product development is done entirely within their local premises.

The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Fabricator who can fabricate and weld as needed for this position. The Fabricator will report directly to the Product Manager and be based in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand assembly drawings and follow workshop procedures for job logon, drawing and BOM updates.
  • Assemble new equipment such as conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, various pumps, and pneumatic systems, and occasionally conduct maintenance on existing equipment.
  • Additionally, it may be required to help with fabrication work, primarily using Mild Steel MIG and occasionally using Aluminum TIG (no prior experience necessary).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in using fabrication equipment and tools, such as welding machines, cutting torches, and grinders.
  • Experience in fabricating and welding various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Knowledge of different welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to fabrication and welding.
