About the Role

Ron Finemore Transport Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injury Claims Advisor to join our team in Wodonga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee rehabilitation, supporting recovery and return to work processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with rehabilitation management systems, processes, and tools
  • Undertake duties and responsibilities as set out in the Delegations schedule, including drafting and issuing of determinations
  • Apply the principles of health benefits of good work in developing rehabilitation programs and return to work plans
  • Participate in case conferences and meetings to provide strategic advice on rehabilitation and return to work strategies
  • Contribute to rehabilitation management systems development and review
  • Maintain records to meet reporting requirements
  • Provide technical support and advice to operational leaders to ensure they can fulfill their roles
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a workers' compensation self-insured environment
  • Qualifications in personal injury related fields
  • Detailed knowledge of the SRC Act and associated legislation
  • Ability to identify and analyze difficult issues and coach/mentor support staff towards best practice
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in the interpretation and analysis of relevant legislation and policy
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Transport industry
