Job Title

A Prestige Motor Insurance agency is seeking a skilled Underwriter to join their high-performing team. As an essential member of the team, you will assist in leading the profitable growth of the agency via our Broker partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation.
  • Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets.
  • Maintain and exceed service level standards.
  • Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency.
  • Liaise with brokers and business partners at company functions and Industry events.
  • Have involvement in the Underwriter audit process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims.
Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience.
Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable.
Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
A willingness to learn and to use your own initiative.
An ability to foster strong Broker/Market relationships.
Able to make intelligent and innovative business decisions with an appreciation and understanding of legal and regulatory guidelines.
A data-driven mindset to uncover patterns, ask insightful questions, and transform information into meaningful actions to drive success.
