About the Role: As a System Engineer, you will be a technical professional responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and managing solutions in a hybrid (cloud and internal) environment. You will advise on and ensure the availability, performance, functionality, security, integrity, and integration of cloud services and internal services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise on business improvement, technology implementation, and people and process management across all levels of the council in Systems Engineering activities.
- Lead major incident management responses, including stakeholder communication, post-incident reviews, and documentation.
- Maintain high-quality cloud and on-premise solutions, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
- Support interface development and maintenance between cloud services and on-premise solutions within a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, driving collaborative success.
Requirements:
- Windows Domain experience, including Microsoft Exchange, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADDS, GPO, Certificate Services, and Active Directory Services.
- Cloud service expertise, encompassing Microsoft Azure, Project Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365.
- Data protection knowledge, focusing on Dell PowerProtect Data Manager and DataDomain.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bicep, and Azure Infrastructure as Code.
- Virtualization skills, covering VMWare vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with networking technologies, including Cisco, WAN, Azure Virtual Networks.
- Application delivery controller experience, incorporating F5 and Azure Application Gateway.
- Security knowledge, emphasizing Palo Alto and Azure Network Security Groups.
