Financial Crime Compliance Role

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions and financial crime risk management efforts in Australia.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial crime and/or compliance functions in wholesale banking, with a strong understanding of local regulations and Group policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Compliance Risks: Assist Senior Compliance Officers and Head of Legal & Compliance in identifying and mitigating compliance risks across business and support units.
  • Develop Compliance Frameworks: Develop, review and implement policies and frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with AML/CTF, sanctions and financial crime regulations and issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in financial crime and/or compliance function in wholesale banking.
  • Degree qualified in finance or related discipline with continued professional development in compliance, AML, sanctions and financial crime areas.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
