Job Description: Festival Venue Technical Director Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to take on the role of Technical Director for our festival venue during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in festival management and develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the setup and maintenance of all technical systems, ensuring smooth operation throughout the festival.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and implementing technical plans for the festival, including setting up and maintaining technical equipment.
  2. Scheduling and supervising all shows' tech runs during the festival.
  3. Coordinating with the hiring manager to recruit and train three venue technicians to assist in duties and work regular technical shifts throughout the festival.
  4. Ensuring the venue complies with health and safety legislation on the technical side.
