Quantity Surveyor Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of the national team, you will provide expert cost control advice and technical input to external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. While experience in the insurance industry is advantageous, it is not required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Site measurements and recording
  • Preparation of cost plans and alternative methods analysis
  • Review and preparation of reinstatement costs for establishing VARs
  • Preparation of basic project programs using appropriate software
  • Preparation of tender analysis and recommendations
  • Attendance on site and at meetings with clients and consultants as required
  • Preparation of detailed reports and maintenance of project files
  • Measurement of Bills of quantities
  • Assistance with auditing of builders' claims for repairs
  • Support development of a Quality Assurance system/process
  • Supervision of junior staff when required
  • Contribution to a learning and development culture
  • Provision of expert witness reports and attendance in court where required

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong attention to detail.
