Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional to join our multidisciplinary team at Launceston General Hospital.
About the Role:
- This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work in an acute medical setting, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with acute medical conditions, as well as monitoring and managing their vital signs and overall health.
- A strong focus on collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills is essential in this role, as you will work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to deliver holistic care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records, including care plans and observation charts, is also a key responsibility of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient conditions, identifying signs of deterioration and initiating appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of acute medical conditions and stroke care management is essential for this role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- A solid foundation in clinical assessment skills, including the ability to accurately monitor patient conditions and identify signs of deterioration
