About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Culinary Support Associate to join our team at Avenues Early Learning Centre. As a Culinary Support Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting the Cook in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Cook in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment
  • Take on the responsibilities of a Cook when the main Cook is absent
  • Contribute to delivering exceptional service and quality to children and families while supporting other team members

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Holding approved Food Handling/Food Safety Certificates
  • At least one year's work experience in a kitchen setting, including allergy awareness
  • A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
  • The ability to interact and engage with children and families
  • Experience working as part of a team and a positive attitude
  • A professional demeanor and attention to detail ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
