Senior Landscape Architect Role Overview

This is a key position that plays a crucial role in supporting asset delivery and management programs.

The Senior Landscape Architect will be responsible for guiding the design of visitor facility and management infrastructure projects, providing input to associated operational policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technical policies, procedures, and manuals to support the design and delivery of parks infrastructure in protected area and marine parks.
  • Review drawings and specifications for technical adequacy, monitor progress, identify issues, and develop systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of correspondence, reports, submissions, and briefing papers to inform decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community members, Indigenous peoples, special interest groups, other government agencies, and industries relevant to effective asset management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on project management and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft 365 or equivalent software.
  • Ability to work in office and field environments, including remote areas.
