This role plays a pivotal part in implementing and embedding the minimum schooling guarantee for reading, and enhancing numeracy practices where possible. We aim to ensure every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning.
The primary focus of this position is to support school leadership staff and teaching teams in implementing evidence-based, consistent, and aligned strategies for the teaching of literacy and numeracy, resulting in improved learning outcomes within classrooms. This includes supporting the implementation of the essential elements of the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework, focusing on quality Tier 1 instruction, and processes and practices for Tiers 2 and 3.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment)
- A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000
You will collaborate closely with school leadership and teaching teams to develop and implement effective instructional strategies, providing coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices. Your expertise will contribute significantly towards ensuring that every student has access to high-quality education, ultimately leading to improved academic achievement and better life outcomes.
