About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pastoral Care Practitioner to join our team at Calvary Kingston Gardens.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing spiritual care and emotional support to residents, families, and staff, ensuring their diverse spiritual needs are identified and responded to with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge, and skill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual care support to residents according to triage priorities
  • Offer spiritual care support to residents' family members and to staff as required
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counseling, or similar
  • Clinical Pastoral Education and/or equivalent
  • Recent experience working in a similar role in aged care, health care, or community care
  • Established skills in preparation, creation, leadership, and facilitation of meaningful rituals
  • Eligibility for SCA certified membership
  • Vietnamese and/or Chinese language proficiency highly desired
