Key Role Summary

The primary focus of this position is to work collaboratively in a team environment to design, build, and manage financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions for the APAC region. The job holder will be responsible for developing and managing annual profit and loss budgets and forecasts for selected APAC territories (covering Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia markets).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing and facilitating financial validation processes on revenues and costs, identifying key financial risks and opportunities, and reporting updates in the form of profit and loss statements and financial excel models.
  • Partnering with key regional business leaders and finance teams to achieve financial targets and drive financial performance.
  • Working as a team member of the APAC Finance team to play a cross-regional role, including managing revenue pivot tables and consolidating regional forecast deliverables.

Accountability Areas:

  • Annual budgeting process
  • Quarterly financial forecasting and pacing (quarterly closing)
  • Quarterly licensee reporting of royalties
  • Facilitating financial forecast discussions with key market business leaders, analyzing and identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Preparing and delivering financial forecast analysis comparing vs. budget and prior year performance in the form of excel financial models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field required (e.g., accounting)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (in a Consumer Products business or Global Media & Entertainment industry a plus), in a finance function
  • Solid accounting background and technical expertise
  • Qualified accounting and finance skills (i.e., certified accountant, Master's in Business Administration) are a plus
  • Native or an Advanced/Fluent language skill in English (ability to facilitate and run discussions)
  • Experience with systems such as SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
