Coronado Global Resources is seeking a highly skilled Mining Coordinator to join our team at Curragh Mine. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our waste and coal fleets.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Safety: Lead a safe and healthy working environment through compliance to the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) and legislation.
- Environmental Management: Oversee and ensure the operation's impact on the environment is managed in accordance with the Curragh Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Operational Management: Monitor, review, and manage all responsibilities as identified under the Curragh Mine SHMS, while supporting the Coronado team in holding their relevant teams and stakeholders to account, managing and reporting on their responsibilities as specified in the contracts.
- Risk Management: Actively work with crews to improve safety performance culture, manage critical risks, and close out events within designated timeframes.
- Compliance and Planning: Ensure compliance with the Operating Schedule and contribute to effective mine planning processes.
- Contract Management: Manage all relevant contracts to ensure the objectives of the business are achieved.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in open-cut coal production management, including understanding obligations under the Queensland Coal Mining Legislation, incident investigation, people management, coal mining, excavator and shovel operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Internal and external stakeholder management capability.
- Skills and Qualities: Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented, with highly-skilled influencing, negotiating, gaining credibility, and building relationships. Ability to think outside the box and support the team.
