Auto Body Repair Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As an Auto Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition through quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect received parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Disassemble vehicle as per job sheet and store parts in designated areas.
- Document broken parts and extra repairs and submit to estimator as requested.
- Verify new parts are correct and not damaged, communicating any issues to parts manager/production manager.
- Colour match and apply paint to vehicle after preparation and scheduling.
- Maintain colour library and update records as necessary.
- Prep, prime, and paint vehicle as per job sheet requirements following paint supplier's process.
- Buff and denib vehicle to achieve high-quality finish.
- Repair vehicle as per repair method, OEM standards, and in accordance with estimate and job sheet.
- Reassemble vehicle to ensure all parts are properly secured.
- Handle vehicles with care and attention to prevent damage.
- Clean work bay and workshop areas to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coach apprentices when required to develop their skills.
- Ensure all company tools and equipment are safe, clean, and in good working order.
- Adhere to OH&S policy including PPE usage.
