Auto Body Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As an Auto Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition through quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect received parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Disassemble vehicle as per job sheet and store parts in designated areas.
  • Document broken parts and extra repairs and submit to estimator as requested.
  • Verify new parts are correct and not damaged, communicating any issues to parts manager/production manager.
  • Colour match and apply paint to vehicle after preparation and scheduling.
  • Maintain colour library and update records as necessary.
  • Prep, prime, and paint vehicle as per job sheet requirements following paint supplier's process.
  • Buff and denib vehicle to achieve high-quality finish.
  • Repair vehicle as per repair method, OEM standards, and in accordance with estimate and job sheet.
  • Reassemble vehicle to ensure all parts are properly secured.
  • Handle vehicles with care and attention to prevent damage.
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coach apprentices when required to develop their skills.
  • Ensure all company tools and equipment are safe, clean, and in good working order.
  • Adhere to OH&S policy including PPE usage.
