Job Title:

A Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of inbound and outbound logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and be able to analyze data to optimize logistics costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inbound Logistics Management
    • Coordinate with carriers and logistics teams to ensure timely shipment service.
    • Support strategic air, ocean, and air/ocean planning to optimize inbound logistics costs.
    • Work closely with inventory management team and 3PL teams to prioritize urgent inbound shipments.
    • Approve exception invoices for inbound shipments.
    • Oversee clearance and delivery of all inbound freight.
  • Outbound Logistics Management (Offline and Online)
    • Review KPIs relating to outbound deliveries with service providers in close cooperation with 3PL relationship manager.
    • Work with delivery service providers and 3PL on routine operation matters.
    • Collaborate with order management/customer service teams and 3PL to ensure operation and delivery priority to critical orders.
    • Coordinate with other supply chain members to ensure all shipments are delivered in full and on time.
  • Continuous Fulfillment Improvement
    • Develop a curious mindset to question existing processes and identify logistics-related cost impact elements.
    • Review customer complaints and report with root cause analysis where applicable.
    • Provide qualitative insights into affiliate projections.
    • E nsure compliance with government regulations for area of responsibility.
    • Review prices and logistics provider contracts to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost savings.
    • Produce SOPs for all logistics partners not managed by regional teams.
    • Track service providers' performance and report on same.
    • Assist in approving 3PL-related invoices.
    • Update scorecard for internal and regional meetings.
    • Obtain trusted trader status for 3PL.
  • Projects & Process Excellence
    • Drive cross-functional process improvements with different departments.
    • Implement global and/or regional projects when applicable as per schedule.
    • Lead operational project implementation as per business development and needs.
    • Work with 3PL to participate in ELC projects and provide strategic solutions.
    • Anticipate trends and their impact on current operating model. Drive processes and org changes to respond to these challenges.
    • Manage the budget tracker for 3PL costs against approved ELC budget.
    • Monitor and report on any EHS issues.
    • Measure and report KPIs on 3PL as well as on forwarders.
    • Project management as per business needs.
